en-light-en

Model: Sheila Ghanian
Creative Direction: Mekea Larson
Hair & Make-up: Jen Anderson
Photographer: Roberto Leon

This semester I enrolled in a film photography class, hoping it would shift my photography style in a different direction. Boy has it changed my perspective a lot.

I have fallen in love with pure black and white images- the ones where the contrast is just right and the images don't seem to be over-exposed. It has been hard for me to adjust to this new look of photography, I believe that it’s for the better because suddenly the images I have captured using this look have a more realistic and nostalgic quality.

This shoot was coordinated by my friend Mekea Larson for the October mini issue of Moda Madison Magazine,

UPDATE: The images above are shot with a DSLR camera not a film camera.
