"Click Click"

I have had these images for a while now. In fact, I shot them back in mid-October but had to withhold them from the public due to some expansion on the project.

Let me explain.

At first, this shoot was meant to be photographed for my film photography class, which prompted me to create a story line through images. Yet, because I was still transitioning from digital to film I brought my digital camera along. 

About one or two weeks after, I was shooting a small spread for Moda Madison over by Williamson Street. It fit the same aesthetic of this shoot, and I had a random thought which consisted of blending them together. So I called Madeline (the model above) and asked if she could put the same ensemble together for another shoot. 

We shot it about 20 minutes later.

In conclusion, we had to wait two months until I could post these two images because they were connected to the print issue of Moda Madison- which is now out!

End of rant.

This semester I enrolled in a film photography class, hoping it would shift my photography style in a different direction. Boy has it changed my perspective a lot. 

I have fallen in love with pure black and white images- the ones where the contrast is just right and the images don't seem to be over-exposed. It has been hard for me to adjust to this new look of photography, I believe that it’s for the better because suddenly the images I have captured using this look have a more realistic and nostalgic quality.

Working with Claudia is always a bit of an adventure, we always end up shooting in the middle of a forest with something she would never wear (Which I sort of put together on the spot) but truthfully they always end up looking stunning.
